"Life in Cat Lo - April 1966"
as told by then
RM3 Ronald Francis Mick

When we first arrived in Cat Lo, the base was just in the process of begining it's construction. With the addition of our crew of six, there were still less than twenty personnel on the base. There wasn't a chow hall , no showers and only about half of the first barracks was complete.  We had to use a left over shower that had been previously used by the Vietnam navy. We were bused to Vung Tau just to eat. Vung Tau, at that time was an OLD, left over French air base with very few personnel assigned to it.
