6 August 1966 | The division at this time, was experiencing some difficulties in maintaining boats. It was decided that by assigning boats to the seventeen senior Officers-in-Charge these problems would be eliminated. On 6 August this action was executed and met with tremendous success. In this way, officers and their crews developed pride in their boats. Furthermore, when the boat was on patrol with a junior officer, who didn't as yet have his own boat, it was found that the junior officer had a greater feeling of need to care for something that was not his own. | ||
